Air traffic control by voice
ATC Simulator 3D Voice Control is an air traffic control simulation for Android. You hold push-to-talk and give clearances in standard FAA phraseology; the pilots read them back and fly them. Work approach radar, the tower cab or the cockpit.
Positions
Three seats to work
Approach radar
Vector arrivals onto the ILS with headings, altitudes and speeds. When final fills up, hold traffic. Clear visual approaches and hand each flight off to the tower.
Tower cab
Look out of the cab windows at the airport. Drag flight strips to set the departure order. Taxi aircraft along named taxiways, issue hold short, crossing, line up and wait, takeoff and landing clearances, and send a flight around when separation breaks down.
Pilot in command
Sit in the cockpit while the tower is worked for you. Fly with the autopilot panel: dial the cleared altitude, heading and speed. Make every radio call and readback yourself. Cockpits for an airliner, a turboprop, a light single and a fighter.

Shift briefing
Airports, weather and training
Three airports
San Francisco International (KSFO). Palo Alto (KPAO), a general aviation field where you work tower and ground together and fit VFR callers into a pattern of flight-school trainers. Bayview International, a fictional training airport for radar, tower and winter operations. Over 25 aircraft types. Shifts start with full gates, moving jet bridges, pushback tugs and ground crews.
Weather and emergencies
A weather and runway briefing opens each shift. Rain lengthens landing rolls; in fog, arrivals go around at minimums. Winter at Bayview: braking action reports, a de-icing pad, snowplough closures. With emergencies enabled, a departure hits birds and returns under MAYDAY or PAN-PAN, or an arrival declares smoke or engine failure. You clear the way and roll the rescue trucks.
Learn the phraseology
Phraseology follows FAA Order JO 7110.65. After a shift, the score sheet shows the rule behind each point, and the built-in handbook opens the paragraph behind an instruction. Ground school has 18 chapters with voiced radio examples and a glossary. Twenty-three instructor-voiced guided lessons on the radar scope and in the tower cab. Radio School: 42 drills in 7 packs.
Offline and online
The simulation, weather, emergencies, scoring, lessons, handbook and pilot voices run on the phone. Without a connection, voice control uses the phone's speech recognizer if an offline English speech pack is installed; touch commands always work. An internet connection adds the live world: cloud speech recognition for your clearances and directed events in your shift.
